Los Angeles, Mar 18 (PTI) Singer-actor Donnie Wahlberg will stage his first solo concert for wife Jenny McCarthy's autism awareness charity.
The 46-year-old "Blue Bloods" star is currently on a break from his grown-up boy band New Kids on the Block, but that hasn't stopped him from picking up the microphone for a special one-off show this spring.
The couple is preparing to welcome guests into its home in St Charles, Illinois for a pair of special fundraisers, while Wahlberg will hit the stage at the Arcada Theater on June 2, reported ABC News.
"New Kids aren't working this year, but I'm actually doing a concert for Jenny's foundation, Generation Rescue," Wahlberg revealed on US breakfast show "Good Morning America".
"(It's a) one-time concert. I've never done a solo concert, so I'm gonna do it in St Charles; we're gonna do a big function at our house and at the hotel where we got married."
Fans attending the bash will also get the chance to appear on the couple's reality TV show, "Donnie Loves Jenny".
The cause is particularly close to McCarthy's heart as her 13-year-old son, Evan, from her first marriage to actor John Asher, suffers from the developmental disorder.
