Patna, March 16 (IANS) A tea-seller on Wednesday visited the Bihar assembly and watched the proceedings for the first time in his life, thanks to an invite from Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav.
"Tejaswi babu fulfilled his promise by taking me along to visit the Bihar assembly and watch its proceedings. It was a lifetime opportunity for me thanks to him," said Mangal Yadav, a tea-seller from Katihar district who sells tea at the Katihar railway station.
He said he was a big fan of Tejaswi's father, RJD chief Lalu Prasad.
"I have been a committed fan of Lalu-ji for decades. I met him along with Tejaswi during their visit in 2015 and they had then promised to facilitate for me a visit to the assembly," he said.
Tejaswi, meanwhile, targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying all tea-sellers across the country have been waiting for fulfillment of the promises made to them by Modi, who has repeatedly projected himself as a tea-seller.
