Barcelona, March 16 (IANS) There has been a lot of speculation over the future of FC Barcelona's Brazilian striker Neymar in recent weeks as talks continue over a new contract, but the player himself is confident he will not be leaving the Spanish football champions.
Barcelona's financial issues have seen Neymar linked with a possible move to England with Manchester United a possible candidate to sign him, while Real Madrid, who were interested in buying him before he joined Barcelona, also mooted as a possible destination, reports Xinhua.
However, in an interview on Brazilian television Globo the striker assured he was quite happy where he is at the moment.
"I am very happy at Barcelona, it is a place where I feel at home," said Neymar, who has so far scored 25 goals in all competitions this season.
"My companions help to make me feel very relaxed in relation with everything and I don't see myself leaving Barcelona," he added.
Now in his third year with the club, Neymar said he was in the "best moment" of his career and said that he had improved as a player during his time at the Camp Nou stadium.
Barcelona have won five out of the six titles in the 2014-15 season while this season they are eight points clear at the top of La Liga, in the final of the King's Cup knockout tournament and are very much in the hunt to retain the Champions League.
"Things are going better than I thought, now we want to repeat those triumphs," said Neymar.
