Have faith in god during conflicts: Pope

Vatican City, March 16 (IANS/AKI) Pope Francis on Wednesday voiced solidarity with those in the Middle East who are currently suffering from wars and violence, and urged them to have trust in god.

"How many experiences of exile, expatriation, grief, and persecution that pushes us to doubt even the goodness of god, and his love for us," Vatican Radio quoted Francis as telling Arabic-speaking pilgrims in St. Peter's Square.

"Doubt which dissipates in front of the truth that god is faithful, close, and keeps his promise to those who do not doubt him, and for those who hope against hope," he told the pilgrims during his general audience.

"The lord bless you all, and protect you from evil!" he said.
