Turin, March 15 (IANS) Juventus on Tuesday announced that injured striker Paulo Dybala and midfielder Claudio Marchisio will miss Wednesdays Champions League's second leg of the pre-quarterfinal against Bayern Munich, in a big blow for the Italian football champions.
The Old Lady travel to Bavaria for the second leg after a 2-2 draw in Turin in the first tie last month.
"After reporting discomfort during Mondays training session, Tuesdays medical examinations taken by the Argentine Dybala revealed a swollen soleus muscle," Juventus said in a statement.
"He will therefore remain in Turin where his condition will be monitored ahead of Sundays Serie A fixture against Torino."
Marchisio, meanwhile, reported discomfort in his left calf during Mondays workout. Tests conducted on Monday evening showed up a first-grade tear in his soleus muscle, an injury which is expected to keep the midfielder out for 20 days.
Dybala has scored 14 goals in the Serie A so far, while Marchisio is a key figure in the team's structure.
The match will take place at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
