New Delhi, March 15 (IANS) The government wants to set up a separate High Court in Telangana and steps are afoot to ensure it, union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Tuesday.
"The government is willing to establish a separate High Court in Telangana and efforts are being made in this direction. The law ministry is working in this matter," Singh said in the Lok Sabha as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) members created a ruckus over the issue during Zero Hour.
Stating that after bifurcation of the state, the people of Telangana were facing lots of problems, TRS leader A.P. Kithender Reddy said: "We are demanding a separate High Court for Telangana since last two years but no progress has been made."
"Why this delay for Telangana? I suspect something going on behind the delay," he added.
