Afghan president phones Modi

New Delhi, March 15 (IANS) Afghanistan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani made a telephone call to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday and discussed steps to enhance bilateral cooperation in different areas.

A PMO release said the two leaders also exchanged views on the situation in the region.

"Both leaders discussed steps to further enhance bilateral cooperation in different areas, including in political and economic fields. They also exchanged views on the evolving situation in the region," the release said.
