Brasilia, March 15 (IANS) At least 26 people were killed due to heavy rain in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, the media reported on Tuesday.
The rain that lashed the city since last week also left 24 people injured, displaced over 3,000 and destroyed hundreds of houses, Xinhua news agency reported.
Transportation was partially paralysed as highways and railway lines were flooded. International airports Sao Paulo and Guarulhos were also closed.
