London, Mar 15 (PTI) Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster try to be "strict" with their children.
The "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" hitmaker's wife Lancaster says she and the 71-year-old singer try to be firm with their children, sons Aiden, five and Alastair, 10, and get them to work for their pocket money, reported Daily Mirror.
"Yes, we have the money. If ever our boys say I want this or that, we are in the position to give them whatever they want. But that's not how I believe we should teach children the values of life," Lancaster said.
"Instead, Rod and I say, 'Well, you'll have to put it on your birthday list'. I try to be strict with the children and they have to do chores around the house to earn money and save up. They need to understand that our lifestyle is not the norm. They need to know they are very lucky - and they do, because I constantly tell them.
