Mumbai, March 14 (IANS) Key Indian equity indices opened higher on Monday following global cues.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 197.65 points or 0.80 percent up during the morning session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 50.45 points or 0.67 percent up at 7,560.65 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 24,801.70 points, was trading at 24,915.64 points (at 9.17 a.m.) in the early session, up 197.65 points or 0.80 percent from the previous day's close at 24,717.99 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 24,916.22 points and a low of 24,801.70 points in the trade so far.
