Chennai, March 14 (IANS) Actress Akshara Gowda, who plays one of the leading ladies in Jayam Ravi's upcoming Tamil actioner "Bogan", will be essaying the role of a police officer in the film, which is slated to go on the floors on Friday.
"For the first time in my career, I will be playing a cop and will also get to indulge in an action sequence. I'm thrilled about it. I get to be Angeline Jolie of 'Tomb Raider' in this role," Akshara told IANS.
To be directed by Lakshman, the film also stars Hansika Motwani and Arvind Swami.
Akshara will also shake a leg with Ravi for the film's introduction song.
"It's a peppy track on the lines of 'Dandanakka' from Lakshman's 'Romeo Juliet'. It will be choreographed by Raju Sundaram. The shoot starts with the song, followed by an action sequence, which will be shot in the first schedule," she said.
Ravi, too, is tipped to be playing a cop in the film, which has music by Imman.
