London, March 12 (IANS) Singer Meghan says she is desperate to strike up a romance with someone as she has not been in a relationship since she turned 18.
"I haven't had a relationship since I was 18. I'm very down for it. I just haven't met the right guy. My mum said, 'You've got to date a movie star or something'. So I've got to date someone in the industry who gets the work side of things," Trainor told mirror.co.uk.
But the 22-year-old singer is struggling to nab herself a love interest as she believes a lot of men are put off by her demanding career and high level of fame.
"I find with guys I've had crushes on, it's all over within a week. We'll put an Instagram picture up together and they'll get attacked by people online.
"I say, 'I'm sorry I did not tell them to attack you'. But, also, it's too hard to see someone romantically as I feel like I'm always working," she said.
The "Dear Future Husband" crooner does not think she will be able to find someone the traditional way because she is always surrounded by security.
"I do not have guys coming up to me in the clubs, but I guess it's because I'm surrounded by my team," she added.
