Bengaluru, March 9 (IANS) Leading two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto on Wednesday launched its motorcycle 'V' in Karnataka market and opened bookings for the vehicle.
"V motorcycle is an attempt to create a motorcycle which has the ability to commute longer distances, handle rough Indian roads, bike that can hold its ground among bigger vehicles on the road and create a sense of pride," said Bajaj Auto motorcycle business president Eric Vas.
Categorised as an executive commuter motorcycle, 'V' is priced at Rs.62,076 plus Rs.999 (accessories kit) and is available for delivery on March 23 after booking during the widow period of March 10-20.
All customers who book the bike which carries a commemorative insignia of metal V on the fuel tank extracted from decommissioned Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikrant by March 20 will receive a welcome kit containing an official ownership certificate and a memorabilia key chain.
The motorcycle is powered by a 150 cc DTS-i engine producing a torque of 13 Nm at 5,500 rotations per minute (RPM).
