Rio de Janeiro, March 8 (IANS) Brazilian forward Robinho says his first batch of goals for new football club Atletico Mineiro has given him more confidence.
The 32-year-old scored a hat-trick against Tombense over the weekend in Brazil soccer league as he continues his quest to get back in Dunga's plans for the national side, reports Xinhua.
He now travels to Chile with Atletico Mineiro for a crucial Copa Libertadores tie away to Colo Colo. Atletico Mineiro currently top their group with six points from their opening two matches.
Robinho did not play the full 90 minutes at the weekend as he continues to regain match fitness after the transfer from Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande, coached by former Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.
The former Real Madrid and AC Milan player was once again asked on Monday by journalists if his thoughts were on regaining a place in the national side.
Robinho maintained that if he continues to play well for Atletico Mineiro he will catch the attention of coach Dunga.
