Patna, March 2 (IANS) A woman official of AIIMS Patna has alleged sexual exploitation by its deputy director, officials said here on Wednesday.
Taking a serious note of the allegations, a committee has been formed and begun the investigation following directive of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) director, Patna, Girish Kumar Singh.
However, Anil Kishor Yadav, deputy director of AIIMS Patna, has denied the charges and termed them as baseless. He has also questioned the formation of the probe committee.
Yadav, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, was appointed the deputy director of AIIMS Patna to monitor its functioning.
"I have written a letter to director, AIIMS Patna, seeking action against the woman official for her involvement in irregularities. If she was hurt by the letter, she was free to lodge a case against me. The entire episode is a part of a conspiracy hatched after I exposed irregularities in AIIMS Patna," Yadav said.
According to officials, the woman, who alleged sexual exploitation by Yadav, was working in the guest house of AIIMS Patna but was removed from the job following financial irregularities last month.
She is staffer of an outsourcing agency.
The 10-member committee probing the case will record the woman's statement on Saturday, officials said.
