New Delhi, Feb 27 (IANS) It was a warm day here on Saturday with the maximum temperature recorded at 30.1 degree Celsius, five notches above the season's average, the weather office said.
According to the weather office, the maximum humidity was 93 percent and the minimum remained at 36 percent.
"Due to lack of rain and strong wind blowing, the temperature has gone up and it has become warm," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
The forecast for Sunday is mainly clear sky and becoming partly cloudy towards night. "Mist or haze is likely to occur in the morning (Sunday). The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30 and 13 degree Celsius respectively," the official added.
It was a clear Saturday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at 13 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, the weather office said.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 91 percent, it said.
Friday's maximum temperature settled at 30.6 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.8 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season.
