Rappers Nate ‘Skate’ Maloley and Derek Luh involved in onstage scuffle with security guards

New York, Feb 21 (IANS) Rappers Nate 'Skate' Maloley and Derek Luh and their fans were involved in a scuffle with security at a nightclub performance here.

The hashtag #preyforderek is trending after rumours circulated that Luh was badly hurt, reports mirror.co.uk.

The rappers were playing the Webster Hall venue in New York's East Village when the chaos erupted.

Maloley has tweeted more than a dozen times about the incident and claims he was trying to save fans from being hurt.

He said: "Never would I have wanted this for my fans. I show nothing but love and peace to everyone I encounter. Tonight the devil was against us.

"But god has a plan for each and every one of us. Sometimes people's egos get in the way of things. I did nothing to any one of the security."

A fan video has circulated of Maloley leaving the venue crying and pounding his chest while saying "Never touch my f***ing family" as fans scream "we love you!"

Luh was reportedly taken to hospital after the incident but witnesses suggest they were fine after the scuffle.
