Lucy Liu honoured by Harvard University

London, Feb 22 (PTI) Actress Lucy Liu has been named as Harvard University's Artist of the Year.

The Harvard Foundation presented her with the honour at the Cultural Rhythms Festival for contributions to the performing arts and humanitarian work as UNICEF Ambassador, reported Female First.

S Allen Counter, director of the Harvard Foundation, said in a statement, "The students and faculty of the Harvard Foundation are delighted to present the distinguished and much-admired television and film star Lucy Liu with the 2016 Artist of the Year award.

"Our student and faculty committee commended her outstanding contributions to the performing arts and her highly-praised humanitarian work as UNICEF Ambassador and other charitable projects."

Liu has shared a photo of her trip to the prestigious university on Instagram.
