‘1982…’ will set trend to stop divorces: Actor Amitkumar

Mumbai, Feb 20 (IANS) Actor Amitkumar Sharma, who is starring in the film "1982 - A Love Marriage", says that the movie will set a "trend" to stop the "system of divorce".

"Cinema influences audience in every era. Our film will set such a trend that the system of divorce would stop. I can say in writing that there wouldn't be divorces if you follow what we have shown," Amitkumar told IANS.

Amitkumar plays the character of Prem in the film, who is obsessed with the concept of love, love stories and love marriage.

Interestingly, the film's conclusion has been scripted according to a survey.

"We had conducted a survey all over the country, and we have shot the conclusion of the film on the basis of the same. You will see that society starts moving in that direction," he said.

Directed by Prashant M. Gorey and produced by Shivkumar Sharma, the film also stars Omna Harjani.

"1982 -A Love Marriage" will release on February 26.
