Gandhinagar, Feb 20 (IANS) Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel inaugurated the three-day Vibrant Gujarat International Travel Mart here late on Friday.
The government expects investments worth Rs.3,000 crore from more than twenty countries, officials from the tourism department said.
"I am glad that efforts of our government to put Gujarat on tourism map are being recognised and private players are showing a stupendous response in developing this industry," Patel said, addressing over 120 global tour promoters at the Mahatma Mandir here.
"We are attaining an identity of a prominent tourist destination and I am sure this will give a major boost to the employment in the hospitality sector."
