London, Feb 19 (PTI) Singer Zayn Malik, who is currently dating Gigi Hadid, performed a new song he wrote about his former fiancee Perrie Edwards during his first solo TV appearance on "The Tonight Show".
The 23-year-old singer, who quit One Direction in March, made his first TV appearance as a solo artist and performed his second single, "It's You", a song he previously explained was about Perrie, reported Female First.
"I just felt like I needed to put myself out there on that just because it was a form of therapy for me and it did help get me through some bad (thing)," he said.
The former couple split in August, amid claims he had dumped her by text, something the singer has previously denied.
He is currently dating model Gigi Hadid, who appears in the video for his debut single "Pillowtalk".
