New Jersey: NATA(North American Telugu Association) NJ team conducted a pre-convention kick off fundraising dinner in Royal Albert’s Palace in a joyful very atmosphere raised over $300K towards the Dallas 2016 Convention which will be held at the Dallas Convention Center, Dallas, TX, from May 27th to 29th, 2016 (Memorial Day Weekend).
The event was organized by Dwarak Varanasi, Sarath Mandapati, Anna Reddy, and Srinivas Ganagoni under the guidance of Rajeshwar Reddy Gangasani, Dr. Raghavareddy Ghosala, Hari Velkur & Dr. Stanley Reddy.
Over 400 people attended this event along with several NATA team members from NJ, NY, PA, and DC, and Dallas areas. RVPs Dwarak Varanasi and Sarath Mandapati, welcomed the audience and requested all to donate generously. Anna Reddy, BOD and Finance committee in-charge encouraged the audience to pledge towards the convention and announced all the pledges.
Dr.Stanley Reddy, Advisory Council member, Rajeshwar Reddy, President-Elect, Dr. Raghavaredy Ghosala, EVP, Hari Velkur, Treasurer, Srinivas Ganagoni, Joint Secretary, Rami Reddy Alla, Executive Director, Pradeep Samala, Convention Advisor, Sridhar Korsapati, co-convener spoke and explained about the NATA accomplishments and convention high lights and invited all to attend the Dallas 2016 convention.
BODs Siva Meka, Srikanth Penumuda, Mohan Kaladi, Baburao Samala and Kiran Gunnam, RVP’s Anji Reddy, Raghurami Reddy Etukuru, Ravi, Madhu from Delaware and Philadelphia actively participated and helped in the fund raising event.
Mr. Upendra Chivukula, Commissioner, NJ Board of Public Utilities attended as the chief guest of the event and congratulated the NATA team for organizing such a wonderful event and he pledged his support Sridhar Chillara and many community leaders, Sudhakar Perkari ATA- President, Krishna Dyapa, Vinod Koduru, Dr.Prabhakar Reddy Chinepalli, Damu Gedela, Ravi Dhannapuneni, Mahesh Pogaku, Shravan Nagapuri, Praveen attended and supported the event.
The welcome dance was performed by the students of the Nritya Madhavi School of Dance and the famous NJ based singers Srikanth Sandugu, Prasad Simhadri, Hema and a famous singer from India Dhanunja entertained the audience to the fullest extent. Sunitha Reddy MC the entire event.
The energetic NATA SCs & RCs, Nagesh Mukkamala, Satya Pathapati, Mahesh Maramreddy, Sirish Reddy Tummala,Timma Reddy, Venu Pasula,Rameshwar Reddy, Rajkumar Nooney,Raghu Aluri, Arun Sriramineni, Krishna Siddhada, Bhanoji Reddy, Sarath Veta, Shekar Koonala, Gatwick Reddy, Pratap Palagiri, Sridhar Dayana, Narasimha Reddy and also helped making the event grand successful. Vivek Pothagani came from DC and covered the photos for the event.
NATA (North American Telugu Association) is a leading non-profit organization serving the Telugu community of Indian origin living in the United States and Canada. NATA is involved in promoting community services, cultural and social activities, student assistance, and Preservation and promotion of the Telugu language and heritage in the United States and across the globe.
NATA has a strong presence in USA and Canada with thousands in membership. The core mission of NATA is to serve the growing needs of thousands of people of Telugu origin living in North America. An estimated five hundred thousand Telugu people are living in the US and Canada.
These Conventions will be attended by South Asian community mostly Telugu People from all over US, Canada, India and other Countries. Most of the attendees, besides socializing and enjoying cultural programs, they will spend time with various businesses that participate. This year we have an exciting programs planned and will have a business friendly floor plan. Several dignitaries, government officials from State of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and USA are expected to attend this convention.
We expect this year’s Convention to be very successful with your participation. Preparations for this convention have started a year back for the expected attendance of over 12,000. Attendees for this Convention include various professionals such as physicians, engineers, businessmen, entrepreneurs, IT professionals, scientists, research scholars, students, technocrats, poets, cine artists and public from various walks of life. Moreover, separate youth programs shall be attended by the youth from all over the world.
