Lucknow, Feb 13 (IANS) A delegation of family members of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose called on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday and thanked him for the decision to set up a museum of belongings of a man known as 'Gumnami Baba'.
Many people believe that Gumnami Baba or Bhagwan ji, who lived and died in Faizabad was Bose in hiding. Many of his belongings had a striking resemblance to the personal items of Netaji.
Yadav told the delegation that the museum would be completed in a time-bound manner and all members of the Bose family would be invited to its inauguration.
The visiting family members -- including Netaji's grandniece Jayanti Rakshit, her husband Amiya Rakshit and grand nephew Arya Bose -- also requested the chief minister to constitute a probe committee to find out the real identity of Gumnami Baba.
Yadav assured them that the state government will duly consider the request.
