Ramallah, Feb 11 (IANS) Israeli military forces on Thursday demolished 42 structures in the West Bank's Northern Valleys that were donated by the European Union, a media report said.
Mu'taz Bisharat, a government official in Tubas city, told Xinhua that the demolitions included "barns, solar panels and mobile sanitary facilities donated by the European Union (EU)".
Bisharat accused Israel of "carrying out a vicious demolition attack" in the Northern Valleys aimed at forceful evacuation of Palestinians.
He said 250 similar demolitions have taken place in the same area this year.
The EU Commission in Jerusalem told Xinhua that the organisation demands Israel stop its policy to demolish EU-sponsored projects for Palestinians, noting that they were either humanitarian aid projects or development projects.
