Vrindavan Gets Lotus-Shaped Temple

Vrindavan, Feb 8 (IANS) A lotus-shaped, 125-feet-high white marble temple dedicated to Lord Krishna opened here on Monday.

Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah formally inaugurated it.

Vrindavan is home to several thousand small and big temples. The tallest Sri Krishna temple in the world is being constructed by ISKCON.

A spokesman for the new temple told IANS that it was built by Devkinandan Thakur, who in 2007 vowed to build a temple that would be unique.
