New Delhi, Feb 1 (IANS) A court here on Monday allowed union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's plea seeking summoning of records of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) in a criminal defamation complaint filed by him against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjay Khangwal allowed Jaitley's plea seeking summoning of records of DDCA from December 1999 to December 2003, when he was the association's president.
The court which is going to hear the matter on February 3, is currently recording statement of complainant's witnesses in the case.
Kejriwal, following a Central Bureau of Investigation raid at the Delhi secretariat, had alleged that the officials searched his office, and they were looking for a file on a probe of DDCA.
The CBI denied raiding Kejriwal's office.
Kejriwal has also alleged that there was corruption in DDCA when Jaitley was heading it, and the latter had subsequently filed a defamation case against the Delhi chief minister.
