Los Angeles, Feb 2 (IANS) Singer Chris Brown, who has been accused of exposing his daughter Royalty to second-hand smoke that caused her to develop asthma, has hit out at his former partner Nia Guzman for making the allegations.
Brown wrote an angry post on Instagram on January 31 wherein he revealed that he has given up smoking. He has also said that Guzman is lying, reports tmz.com.
The controversial singer claimed the reason she was making her claims was so she could get higher child support payments.
"I quit cigarettes on New Years. No one smokes around my daughter," Brown said in a post which was later deleted.
The 26-year-old added that her claims are "obviously a play to get some sort of increased income. I take care of my daughter and I would never ever put her in a position that will harm her."
Brown, a convicted woman beater, who in 2009 was given six months of community service for a brutal assault on former girlfriend Rihanna, did not mention whether he has given up cannabis, which he has tested positive for in the past.
The two only came to an agreement to co-parent one-year-old Royalty back in October.
But Guzman has taken legal action to restrict his visitations and is also asking her child support be increased from $2,500 to $16,000 a month.
