Kolkata, Jan 21 (IANS) Filmmaker Prakash Jha, who had wanted to become an MP but failed, says he no longer desires to associate with any political party.
"I have no interest in becoming a part of any political ideology or party," Jha told the media here on Wednesday.
"I wanted to become an MP because I thought these people who are in a position have access to resources. They do not use their position for the benefit of people. If you organise yourself, you can do a lot," he said.
Jha lost the Lok Sabha election from Bettiah in Bihar in 2014 as a Janata Dal-United candidate. He unsuccessfully contested as an independent in 2004 and on an LJP ticket in 2009 from the same constituency.
