Panaji, Jan 19 (IANS) The Goa Police have begun investigations into a letter that threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar for allegedly pursuing anti-beef policies.
Inspector General of Police V. Renganathan confirmed the probe by the Anti-Terror Squad, saying the postcard containing a threat to the two dignitaries was posted locally.
"Since you are not allowing to eat beef, you will be taken care of," the postcard said while referring to Modi and Parrikar.
The letter, received at the state secretariat here on Thursday, was later handed over to the Anti-Terror Squad.
Police sources said that Parrikar's security was reviewed in view of the threat letter.
