New Delhi, Jan 16 (IANS) At a time when India is trying to make its mark in the start-up arena, Uber founder Travis Kalanick said research and development and innovation are about the three Bs - Bay Area, Beijing and Bangalore (Bengaluru).
As we see the world going global, I believe R&D and innovation are about the three Bs - Bay Area, Beijing and Bangalore," Kalanick said at a session in the 'Start-up India, Standup India' event here on Saturday.
Working on my Start-up India lingo before my big speech. Just learned that Jugaad means 'hustle'," said Kalanick in a tweet, referring to the Hindi word, which also means quick-fix solutions.
He said in India there are certain things like payments that have led to a big change in how his company does business.
He also mentioned that the company is facingsome tough competition from local companies like Olacabs in Bangalore and 'kaali-peeli' or existing taxis in Mumbai.
