A Romantic Ghost held back by an old-school screenplay.

Story: Bangaru Raju (Nagarjuna) makes a deal  with Yama (Naga Babu) and comes back to earth as a spirit to help his son Dr. Ramu (Nagarjuna)  who is socially awkward. How Bangaru Raju  helped Dr. Ramu overcome his social awkwardness and help him from the baddies forms the rest of the story.

Acting: Nagarjuna handled the dual roles of Bangaru Raju and doctor Ramu very  well.  His comedy timing in Bangaru Raju's character is excellent.  The humor generated between both characters is good. Ramya Krishna once again excels. The scenes between her and Bangaruraju came out very well. Lavanya Tripati did well within her scope. Brahmanandam was good enough but seems redundant. Naga babu as Yama is adequate.

Techincal: Director Kalyan Krishna failed to execute the script. The screenplay looks to old schooled and  has nothing new to offer.  Music by Anoop Rubens is good and it is the only thing that is fresh in this movie.  Photography by P. S. Vinod is good. He  maintained the village fell through the movie. The production by Annapurna Studios is rich.

Analysis: The socio-fantasy films need a good screenplay since the audience has watched these type of movies n number of times. The comedy between Bangaru Raju and doctor Ramu came out well other than that it sticks to old school and cliched screenplay.  The movie will not bore anyone at the same time will not thrill.

Highlights:

  • Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishna
  • Music
  • Comedy between dual roles

Drawbacks:

  • Old Story
  • Old Screenplay

Box office: The movie should do well if it could use the holidays well at domestic Market. At overseas, It should be an average fair.

Verdict: A time pass film. Watch it at your leisure.
