Panel to Look into Censor Board’s Revamp Meets Jaitley

New Delhi, Jan 9 (IANS) Members of the new committee set up to look into the censor board revamping here on Saturday met Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley to hold talks over the issue, sources said.

Apart from Jaitley, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was also present at the meeting.

The government had constituted a committee headed by eminent filmmaker Shyam Benegal to look into the censor board's revamp.

The committee, which has been asked to submit its report in two months, includes filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, adman Piyush Pandey and film critic Bhawana Somaaya.

National Film Development Council Managing Director Nina Lath Gupta and Joint Secretary (Films) Sanjay Murthy are also part of the committee.
