Los Angeles, Jan 9 (IANS) NBA player Lamar Odom has been released from a hospital here and has been transferred to a private facility, Odom's aunt JaNean Mercer has confirmed.
Lamar left Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles earlier this week, following months of recovery after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in October 2015, reports etonline.com.
"It is with extreme gratitude and appreciation to all of you around the world who have prayed without ceasing for Lamar, that we announce his transition to the next stage of his miraculous recovery at a new facility," Mercer said.
She further mentioned that Odom "continues to make remarkable strides and we are asking that you continue to respect our privacy."
"Again we thank you all greatly, your support has been paramount in helping to uplift us during these past few difficult months," she added.
Earlier, Khloe Kardashian gave a positive update on her estranged husband's recovery on Thursday, saying that Odom would be released "hopefully soon."
"He's definitely doing better and better every day which I'm so grateful for," the 31-year-old reality star had said.
"He's fighting really hard and I'm really proud of him for that fight and his will to want to get better."
