New Delhi, Jan 8 (IANS) The city government on Friday told the Delhi High Court that app-based taxi service providers are over charging the passengers.
The Delhi government counsel told a bench of Justice Manmohan that app-based cabs like Ola and Uber are charging three to four times more than the stipulated rates and actual distance that has been travelled is not reflected in the receipt.
Justice Manmohan asked Delhi government to file an affidavit on the allegations made by it and said the matter would be heard on March 15.
The court had asked app-based cabs service providers to phase out diesel taxis from Delhi's roads and to run only on CNG vehicles by March 31, 2016.
