Nashik, Jan 7 (PTI) Nationalist Congress Party MP Supriya Sule today said that like school students, parliamentarians too sometimes get bored after listening to lengthy lectures and debates in the House and discuss other topics among themselves.
"You students sometimes get bored after sitting through lectures and then start talking about actress Deepika Padukone and her looks in 'Bajirao Mastani'," the daughter of NCP chief Sharad Pawar said at a programme, 'Anandicha Ustav 2016' here.
"Similarly, in Parliament too, when your MPs get bored after listening to lengthy debates, they discuss other topics among themselves," she said, evoking peals of laughter among the girl students at the event.
'Right to Pee' activist Mumtaz Shaikh, who has been named as one of the 100 most inspirational women by BBC and Rauf Patel, a trustee of Jama Masjid Charitable Trust, also spoke on the occasion.
