Los Angeles, Jan 7 (IANS) Actor Samuel L. Jackson's stammer is cured when he says "m**********r".
The 67-year-old's speech impediment was so debilitating when he was younger, he was bullied and "stopped speaking for almost a year in school" but discovered an unusual way to rectify his stutter, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
I have no idea (how) but it just does. It clicks a switch that stops the d-d-d b-b-b, because me, I stuttered really, really, really badly for a long time, Jackson said.
The Hateful Eight actor, whose character in Snakes on a Plane, FBI agent Neville Flynn, memorably said: "I've had it with these m***********g snakes on this m***********g plane" - taught him to control his speech impediment without formal speech therapy and his hard work eventually paid off.
He said: "I read a lot. I read things about breathing exercises, I actually went to the library to combat stuttering."
