Bhoomika and Priyanka Two Missing Girls Found Dead in Warangal

Bhoomika and Priyanka Two Missing Girls Found Dead in WarangalWarangal (Telangana), Dec 27 (PTI) Two tribal girl students, who were missing from their hostel since last month, were found dead in a forest area here today with their bodies cut into pieces, police said.

The girls, identified as Bhoomika and Priyanka, both students of class IX at a school government-run school meant for tribal children in Moodu Chekkalapally village, had been missing since November 23 from the school hostel where they were staying, a police officer at Chennaraopeta police station said.

Their parents had then filed missing complaints, based on which the Chennaraopeta police had launched a search for them, but in vain.

Today, some villagers went to a forest in Khadhar hills under Chennaraopeta mandal and felt some bad smell in the area and informed police about it.

Later, police reached the place and upon searching, found the two bodies done to pieces apparently with a sharp knife, the police officer said.

With the help of doctors and experts, the bodies were identified as that of the two girls, who were natives of Narayanaopuram village under Parvathagiri mandal in Warangal, he said.

The two girls had earlier also gone missing from their hostel about three months back. However, they were then traced by Mulugu police and counselled not to go anywhere without informing authorities and subsequently sent to their hostel.

Meanwhile, Chennaraopeta police have registered a case and are further investigating.

Rural Superintendent of Police Ambar Kishore Jha visited the spot where the bodies were found.
