London, Dec 26 (IANS) Rock band Radiohead has offered a surprise to their fans -- a new song, which was initially recorded for the latest James Bond film Spectre.
Thom Yorke, frontman of the band, said they were asked to write the theme for the twenty-fourth James Bond film last year, but it didn't work out well, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
"Last year we were asked to write a tune for Bond movie 'Spectre'. Yes, we were. It didn't work out. But became something of our own which we love very much. As the year closes, we thought you might like to hear it. Merry Christmas. May the force be with you", Yorke posted on Twitter on Friday.
Later, singer Sam Smith's single Writing's on the wall was chosen as the official theme song for Spectre, which starred Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista and Monica Bellucci among others.
