Chennai, Dec 18 (IANS) Actress Shweta Bharadwaj, who has grooved to a special number called "Lollipop" in Telugu entertainer "Soukyam", says she shot for the song with no rehearsals.
"The song was shot on a very short notice. I was initially never interested because when I was approached for the song, I was on a holiday in Portugal. I never wanted to do it, but they were hell-bent on roping me in," Shweta told IANS.
When she came on board, the makers were on a tight schedule and actor Gopichand could only spare one day for the shoot.
"We shot the song in four days. We didn't even have time to rehearse. I picked up most of the steps on the sets. We started shooting as early as 5 a.m. and I was under so much pressure because we couldn't afford to waste time on retakes," she said.
Shweta had to shoot for the song in a single costume.
"The makers had only one costume and since we were shooting for long hours, we didn't even have enough time to get the costume dry-cleaned. I wore the same costume on all the four days of shoot," she said.
Talking about the song, which she described as a "fun number", she hopes that it will get as popular as her last Telugu song "Bad Boys" from Mahesh Babu starrer "Dookudu".
"When I played the song to my friends in Mumbai, they all had so much fun listening to it. I hope it gets as popular as 'Bad Boys'. I can't wait to the see the video the song," she said.
Also starring Regina Cassandra, the film is directed by A.S Ravikumar Chowdhary and is slated to release on Dec 24.
