New Delhi, Dec 5 (IANS) The government is set to table the Goods and Services Tax Bill in the Rajya Sabha next week, an official statement said on Saturday.
The Rajya Sabha has 10 bills on its agenda, including the real estate bill, while the Lok Sabha has six bills listed for the week.
The Rajya Sabha's business advisory committee has allotted four hours for the GST Bill and two hours for real estate bill.
Once the two bills are passed in the Rajya Sabha, they will be taken to the Lok Sabha and the government plans to complete it in the coming week itself.
Both the bills were sent to select committees of the Rajya Sabha, and the reports have been submitted.
The bills in Lok Sabha includes the High Court and Supreme Court Judges (Salary and Conditions of Service) Amendment Bill, 2015 that has already been taken up, The Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill, 2015, The Indian Trusts (Amendment) Bill, 2015, The Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Bill, 2015, The Industries (Regulation and Development) Amendment Bill, 2015.
The bills in the Rajya Sabha includes further consideration and passing of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill, 2013, that was taken up this week.
Other bills include The Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill, 2015, The Whistle Blower Protection (Amendment) Bill, 2015, The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Bill, 2015, The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Bill, 2015, The Appropriation Acts (Repeal) Bill, 2015, The Repealing and Amending (Third) Bill, 2015, all of which has been already passed by Lok Sabha.A
The Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill, 2013, which was taken up by Rajya Sabah in this week, is also listed for passage in Rajya Sabha, and government plans to get it through Lok Sabha as well.
It also has The Child Labour (Protection and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2012 on its list.
Non-legislative business in Lok Sabha includes discussion on the drought situation in the country, price rise and India's relations with neighbouring countries.
In Rajya Sabha, the situation in Nepal and India-Nepal relations and price rise are the issues, as the discussion on Nepal situation was converted from Calling Attention of the Government to a short duration discussion in Rajya Sabha on Friday.
