March, 2009: Second closure report filed.

December 2007: Court rejects closure report, direct further investigation.

October 2007: First closure report filed.

November 22, 2005: A case was registered by CBI against Tytler on the recommendation of the Nanawati Commission.

February 8, 2005: Justice G.T. Nanavati Commission appointed to look into the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, submits its report.

November 1984: Sikhs were killed in the riots following the assassination of prime minister Indira Gandhi Oct 31, 1984.
