Deputy chief minister K E Krishnamurthy said that the bauxite GO 97 was put on hold as it was issued without knowledge of the Minister concerned. He said that the order was issued by the forest department in accordance with the orders issued during the time of previous government.
KE said that the GO was put on hold after Minister for Forests, Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy informed CM that it was issued without his notice. When asked about the fiasco surrounding the GO as a failure of the government deputy CM maintained that officials were responsible not the cabinet.
Responding to claims separate agitation for Rayalaseema, KE ridiculed the entire episode as politics as usual. “I will not attend the JAC meeting slated to be held in Tirupati on November 21,” he affirmed.
“I am from the same region and no injustice whatsoever has been done in the TDP government. CM himself is from the region,” he ascertained.
Commenting on the regularising land records in the State, deputy CM claimed that the ongoing ‘Mee Intiki Mee Bhumi’ is making great strides in streamlining revenue records.
