Chennai, Nov 14 (IANS) Popular Tamil actor Nakul got engaged to Sruti Bhaskar here in a private ceremony on Friday.
"Friends, I'm Happy to announce my engagement to Sruti Bhaskar. Need all your best wishes and blessings," Nakul posted on his Twitter page on Saturday.
Talking to IANS earlier this year, Nakul had said falling in love has been "life-changing".
"I've known her for the last five years and she's been with me through my ups and downs and keeps me level-headed," he said.
"In front of her, I get to be the person I really am. It's been a life-changing experience because when the things you never believed in suddenly became reality, it feels like this", he said and added that marriage should happen around next year.
Sruti works in the marketing arm of Chennai-based SPI Cinemas, a leading multiplex.
Nakul currently awaits the release of Tamil comedy "Narathan". He has also signed a yet-untitled film in the language.
