Hyderabad, Nov 8 (IANS) The chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Sunday congratulated their Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar on his victory in the assembly elections.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu made a phone call to Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader to congratulate him over the victory of the Grand Alliance.
"Thank you Naidu ji for your call and wishes," tweeted Nitish Kumar. Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao also greeted Nitish Kumar over the resounding win of Grand Alliance.
In a statement, Rao said the election results were a reflection of the confidence people of Bihar have reposed in Nitish Kumar, who completed two terms as the chief minister.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief also congratulated Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad and other leaders of the alliance. He hoped that the alliance will live up to people's expectations by providing good governance.
The chief minister's son K. Tarakarama Rao, who is minister for panchayat raj and information technology, also greeted Nitish Kumar.
YSR Congress party chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, who is the leader of opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly, also congratulated the JD-U leader and conveyed his best wishes.
