AP moots skill development training for BC artisans
The State Government will soon set up a skill development and training centre each in all the 13 BC Study Circles of State to provide training to artisans of backward classes for improving their skills.
The first such skill development and training centre will come up at Guntur BC Study Circle to be established by Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation shortly.
Workshops and surveys will be conducted in every district to obtain suggestions and objections over the courses to be offered through the centres. The State Government has allotted Rs. 6,640 crore which is 19 per cent of the State budget for BC welfare under the BC sub-plan.
