Rating: 2.5

“Routine”  Like all mass entertainments starts off with a good setup and fizzles off in the second half. Telugu movies need to move away from this format as soon as they can.

Story: Gautham (Nandamuri Kalyanram), is a happy go lucky guy who lives in Hyderabad with his family.  Gautham loves challenges in life. He comes across prettyNandini (Sonal Chauhan) a wannabe photographer and falls in love. Nandini too reciprocates. Then the story takes a surprising twist and Gautham starts going behind Dada (Mukesh Rushi). Why is Gautham after Dada?

Acting: Kalyan Ram performed very well. His comedy timing and dialogue delivery was impressive. The big highlight is his entrance scene. Sonal Chauhan gave a decent performance as the only heroine but has no role except for routine comedy. Vikramjeet Virk as a villain is good. He did his best with the routine character presented to him. Brahmanandam, Mukesh Rishi are too boring. It was good to see M. S. Narayana on the screen again.

Techincal: Director Mallikarjun has improved from his previous films. He sticks to entertain the audience with a predictable and routine story. The songs by Thaman are average. The background music is good, especially in Kalyan Ram’s entry scene. Cinematography by Sarvesh Murari is very good. Producer Komara Venkatesh spent a lot to make the movie look good.

Analysis:  The first is good with some entertainment, but the second half is a drag. The last 20 to 30 minutes are dragged out.

Highlights:

  • Kalyan Ram
  • First Half
  • Background Music
  • Editing

Drawbacks:

  • Second Half
  • Pre-Climax And Climax
  • Routine Story
  • Unnecessary Characters

Box office: Nandamuri fans may love it, but others can safely skip it.
