Recently, reports about Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan sharing screen space in the fourth instalment of the Dhoom franchise were doing the rounds. However, we have been informed that Telugu star Prabhas, who played the protagonist in Baahubali, has been given a narration of the film’s script as well.
An insider reveals, “A while ago, film-maker Aditya Chopra, director Vijay Krishna Acharya and other members of Aditya’s production house had asked for a special screening of Baahubali. It was while watching the film that they thought of casting Prabhas. The Dhoom franchise is such where the villain, who is the hero, is supposed to be strong and brawny. Prabhas fits the requirements perfectly. Moreover, the dubbed version of Baahubali, too, got a tremendous box-office response, thus proving that he has a pan-India appeal.”
Apparently, Hrithik will have a cameo in the movie, and not a full-length role. The insider adds, “The makers will soon make an announcement, once they’ve finalised the details.”
When contacted, however, the makers of the film denied the news with a text message, saying, “Not true.”
